目标任务
中心的特色在于用中外比较的方式来研究当代热点劳工问题,并对一些问题进行历史性研究。研究重点是国际大背景下的中国劳工问题。目标是发展高水准的、不同学科相互交叉的中国劳工理论和政策。本中心的目标和任务包括:
§ 以北师大为基地,建立专业从事劳工问题研究的学术团队
§ 与国内外高层次政府组织、企业家协会、工会等相关团体建立紧密的合作关系
§ 从相关机构获得研究资金保证
§ 用中外比较研究的方法创立并发展独立的科学的和客观的中国劳工研究理论和路径
§ 为建立和谐稳定的劳动关系和保障工人权益,向高层次决策机构提供政策性建议

§ 发展本学科的硕士和博士教育

OBJECTIVE AND AIMS
The Centre’s aim and purpose is to provide excellence in research, scholarship and education in labour studies. This will be achieved by building on BNU’s substantial reputation in the field of labour history and its links with the governmental and other agencies. The Centre is committed to the analysis of contemporary issues. Its concerns are centred upon China, but inevitably within regional and international contexts. It aims to develop an interdisciplinary approach which combines high scholarly standards with accessibility to a wider audience. It is intended to provide a focus for research in labour studies with following objectives:
§ To establish a multi-disciplinary and mutually supportive group of researchers engaged in researching and studying labour issues in BeijingNormalUniversity and in China
§ To build a strong network of contacts with central authorities, trade unions and other workers’ organisations, employers associations, voluntary and political organisations in China and beyond
§ To secure a significant amount of funding from grants bodies
§ To initiate, develop and conduct independent, objective and scientific research in the area of labour studies in China with particular encouragement to research projects from comparative approaches
§ To contribute to knowledge in the field of labour studies and to provide scientifically-obtained information on Chinese labour to policy-makers and other stakeholders which promote the improvement of the lot of Chinese workers
§ To contribute to the teaching programme of BNU in collaboration with the relevant department or departments
§ To produce research-based books and articles in internationally refereed journals
§ To encourage collaboration with researchers at other institutions in China and abroad
§ To develop a visiting/exchange scholars scheme between BNU and other universities in China and abroad.

China Labour Studies Centre at BeijingNormalUniversity explores:
§ What is the impact of enterprise reform and restructuring of the economy on labour (regarding employment and unemployment, job security, training, quality of life at work, welfare, etc)?
§ How is work changing for Chinese workers in the context of economic reform and globalisation? What are the challenges and opportunities for workers after China’s entry of the WTO?
§ What is the process of privatisation and its effect on workers?
§ What is the process of migration and its effects on workers of different origins (urban v. rural)? Restructuring of the economy and its impact on the labour market structure?
§ What is the restructuring and recomposing of the party-state, central and local governments in China and its effects on labour?
§ Are unions renewing themselves? What are their roles in the socialist market economy and in the age of globalisation?
§ How is the role of women in the changing economy and society? |
